All Praise and Glory to God
In Thanksgiving for Our 75th Celebration
Our weekend celebration was absolutely wonderful. Approximately 500 people attended
our Alumni Mass and BBQ last Saturday. Relationships and friendships were rekindled.
There were many smiling, happy faces.
Last Sunday the 12:00 NOON Mass was packed. United with our presider and shepherd,
Cardinal Roger Mahony, the assembly lifted up their voices in prayer and glorious
songs of praise and thanksgiving. Following Mass over 300 people attended a formal
dinner in the school yard. The time was festive and the meal delicious. A huge thank you
to chef Pierangelo Ramponi of Le Betulle Restaurant and Harry Hall of Milano's Restaurant.
A special thank you to Fr. Paul, Msgr. Frilot, Deacon Restie Noriega, Fr. Gus
Carter, Fr. Pat Mullen, Fr. Tom Schweiter and all the priests and religious who have
so faithfully served and led our Incarnation Faith Community these past 75 years.
We also thank the Sisters of Charity and all of the lay people who have taught our children
in the school and religious education program.
We want to thank all the parishioners who worked so diligently to make this weekend
celebration such a great success. In addition to those who were named last week,
we also thank Rod Neitzel of our 75th Anniversary Committee and Glendale Printing
who donated the printing of the parish invitations.
Our 75th Anniversary Celebration is the result of hours of service, dedication
and generosity given by parishioners and friends of the parish. We once again wish
to thank our 75th Anniversary Committee members: Maria AlQuaddoomi (Parish Family
Album), Desiree Aranda, Joe and Frances Chavez, Rita Guild, John and Suzanne Healy, Nerio
and Zenny Katigbak, Marguerite Lincoln (invitations), Rod Neitzel, Deacon Restie
and Nita Noriega, Betty Oswill, Nick and Roseanne Rasic, Anne Regan-Smith, Lenore
Solis, Pat Theys, Jim Trinity, Dan and Marie Urrutia and Jim Wilke and the many parishioners
who worked with them setting up, decorating, stuffing invitations and flyers, traffic
control, and more.
We also thank Kay Kennedy and our Liturgy and Art and Environment Committee members
and all our ministers who helped us prepare for and celebrate our liturgies last
weekend and who continue their service each and every weekend: all three choirs,
musicians, eucharistic ministers, greeters, lectors, servers, ushers.
Additional thanks is given to those who made special donations to our weekend festivities:
Beverly Ann Florists, Glendale Memorial Hospital, Tony Friedman (music), Mission
Linens, Tim O'Keefe (tickets), Pioneer Market (wine), Tony Sardo.
In closing, to all the wonderful parishioners who began this parish 75 years ago
and nurtured the great heritage and many blessings we now celebrate, we extend our
deepest heartfelt gratitude.
