have put the words "Jesus Loves Porn Stars" on the cover of New Testament Bibles the ministry hands out to porn stars. But the American Bible Society, a publishing company, rejected printing 10,000 copies of the Bible cover. It may be hip, as the ministry's pastors, Craig Gross and Mike Foster, saw it, but the wording is reportedly "misleading and inappropriate," according to the publisher. What do you think?

I agree with the publisher. That cover would be misleading and in this case inappropriate.

To say Jesus loves porn stars is true but he does not love them because they are porn stars, he loves them because they are his brothers and sisters called to true love of God and neighbor. You could also say that Jesus loves thieves, murderers, adulterers, fornicators, drug addicts etc.

Jesus loves everyone and demands that we love everyone and that we have faith in him and love him. To love him we must be willing to carry our cross daily but he also promises us that his yoke will be easy and his burden will be light because he will send his Holy Spirit to help us.

It is true that Jesus freely gave his life to redeem sinners. At the last supper he said, ≥This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which will be shed for you.≤ (Luke 22:20) and ≥There is no greater love than this: to lay down oneπs life for oneπs friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you.≤ (John 15:13-14)

We have all seen bumper stickers saying ≥Jesus Loves You≤ but we must remember that Jesus also said, ≥If you love me you will keep my commandments.≤
