Signs of a Growing Prayer Life

1) Focus on God, His Action, Word (not on anxiety, problems).
2) Focus on attitudes, feelings of Jesus (not on my failures, successes in response)
--is talk of prayer in "Jesus language" or only "self-language"?
3) Confidence in the Lord's power .
4) Not introspective but allowing God's action to become personally real in my being.
5) Focus on the Lord in the daily experiences of my life.
6) Presenting myself to God as I am.
7) Great interior silence after prayer.
8) Great awareness of God in all events and persons .
9) Greater kindness, compassion, sensitivity, concern for all (Jesus' feelings &
attitudes) .
10) Deeper capacity to listen.
11) Greater unity, focus, integration in my life .
12) Greater desire for prayer, as well as for justice, peace .
13) Progressive discovery of Christ ~ His attitudes, values, life style.
14) Continued conversion, change of heart, hunger for mercy .
15) Living experience of Paschal Mystery .
15) Growing sense of praise, awe, wonder, adoration, and gratitude in personal prayer.
16) Prayer becomes simpler, less verbal, with a growing sense of Presence.
17) Growing docility, generosity, humility, and detachment from all that is worthless.
18) Growing sense of God's personal provident, faithful Love .
19) Growing awareness of sin, personal and corporate .
20) Hunger for justice, truth, reconciliation.
21) Deepening sense of trust, poverty of spirit, simplicity, reverence for persons;
all creation.
