I am very interested in becoming Catholic. First, I will give you a little background about myself. I was raised and babtised a Protestant in the Assembly of God church. I don't really know how to express this, but here goes an attempt...A lot of what was taught at my church didn't make a lot of sense to me. I have not been active in my church for the majority of my adult life. Catholisism has alway had a draw to me, but I never really bothered to find out much about it, until recently, when I bought a number of books about Catholosism and of course the Catholic bible. The books I've read so far have made a lot of sense to me, but I still have questions. I guess the first question that I have is; I read that marriage is the sacrament of matrimony. I am divorced. Would this keep me from becoming Catholic? Would being divorced put me in bad favor with God? Hello, I just wanted to leave this note saying never to take down this guestbook. It's a medley of nostalgia that I'd hate to see go. Just scrolling down for a couple minutes made me see a few of the great people I've met in my life, and the list is long. There's even an entry from me near the bottom when I was in 6th grade. The guestbook is, in itself, something of a history of the school. I enjoyed reading through some of the entries. Monsignor Frilot had told me about all the great places I could visit through the website links, including the Vatican. He was right. The "Catholic Goldmine" is one of them.
