Dear Brothers and Sisters:
Meister Eckhart wrote, "The birth of Christ in the stable does no good unless He is born within ourselves as well. " This is the meaning of Christmas, the whole purpose of the Incarnation of the Son into a body and life like our own. That happened so the Son can live permanently and vividly in our own being. It happened so we can know him within us and love him in the stable of our own heart.
This year we include in your Christmas packet a name of a parish family or individual. I would like to invite you to keep this family/individual in prayer during this Advent season as an awareness of the special bond we share with one another as the Body of Christ, the Church!
