Incarnation Parish Vision Statement
|
"Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing." -- John 15:5 |
|
We reach out to parishioners and to all people
in a way that is inviting and friendly. We assure them of God's love and saving
grace and motivate them to seek the truth of Jesus Christ through the Catholic
Church. Evangelization involves forming hearts and attitudes to be open to God. |
|
Worship includes praise, adoration,
thanksgiving and petition to God. It involves all forms of prayer, both communal
and personal, which build a relationship between the person, the community and
God. The Sunday liturgy is the highest form of worship for the Catholic
community. |
|
Also called catechesis, this is an on-going
process of developing the heart and mind, the total person to a fuller
understanding and a deeper relationship with God, the faith and the faith
community. Scripture, morality, sacraments and theology are included in this
formation. |
|
This refers to how the parish promotes
leadership, develops unity, communicates to all of its members and provides an
organizational structure for effective management and ministry. In building
community, people freely share gifts and experiences, thus uniting all to God
and to one another. |
|
This involves social awareness and action
concerning the needs of the community, both local and global, and a willingness
to be of service to those in need. Outreach may be directed toward physical
needs such as food, clothing and shelter, and even more important, to the needs
for justice and peace in the local community and world. |
