Parent Teacher Organization Board

All parents, guardians and teachers are members of the Parent Teacher Organization. This group supports the school through fundraising, volunteer services, advising the pastor and principal, and assisting the staff and students in a variety of capacities. A ten member executive board is elected by the member body each Spring. Members of the executive board serve a term of two years with no more than four years of consecutive service. The executive board meets with the school administration and a teacher representative one evening each month. The PTO Board is an advisory body. It does not make decisions regarding hiring / firing of staff or curriculum.

This will be Monique Moore's second year on the board. Her specialty on the board will be Student Affairs. Contact her at moniquemmoore@me.com.

" Hello, my name is Jim Theiring. My wife Susan and I have two children at Incarnation. Shaun is in the 7th Grade and Emily is in 4th. Our oldest, Molly, is a sophomore at Mt. St. Mary's College on the path to becoming a nurse. Susan is a graduate of Incarnation and has been working at the school since 1989 and is currently the computer teacher. I am excited to return to the PTO Board as Treasurer after having previously served 4 years on the Board while Molly was a student here. I am currently a member of the School Consultative Board and the Parish Finance Council. In my spare time, I am a CPA in the medical field. I look forward to working with the school administration and my fellow Board members to continue the rich tradition of successful Incarnation students and am especially excited to be involved as we approach the school's 75th Anniversary in 2012. My email address is jtheiring@earthlink.net. "

"My name is Mark Richardson and I am honored to be serving on the Incarnation School PTO board for my third year year. I have been a parishioner of Incarnation since 1989 and along with my wife Lisa, are the proud parents of Brynne who will be entering the fourth grade this upcoming year. I am the product of a Catholic education having attended Our Lady of Lourdes in Northridge Grades 1-8, followed by Crespi Carmelite High School in Encino. I do not see Parent involvement as a requirement each family has to fulfill, but an obligation to your child and/or children. That is what separates INCA from and other private and public schools--the parents' commitment to the educational process. Every hour you donate not only affects your child, but all of the other children in his or her class and quite possibly the entire student body. If have a question, suggestion or just want to find out more about how to get involved with the PTO Board, please don't hesitate contact one of the board members or myself. My email address is mcrichardson@cbbank.com. Let's make 2011-2012 another great school year and have some fun in the process.

Sharon Conroy is another new board member. Her area of specialty is parent involvement. She is also in charge of the Spring "Mardi Gras Festival" Auction. Her e-mail is shorejsi@glendale.edu .

Monsignor Steven B. Zak is our new Parish Administrator. "Greetings to all the parishioners and staff of Incarnation Parish! I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and am a CSUN graduate. Before entering St. John's Seminary in Camarillo, I worked with the L.A. Unified School District. My ordination took place in 1988 and I was assigned to St. Gregory the Great Parish in Whittier as Associate Pastor. In 1990 I received a new assignment: I was sent to Rome where I began preparation for service in the Vatican Diplomatic Corps; at that same time I also earned a Doctorate in Canon Law from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas. After the completion of my studies, I was appointed an official of the Vatican Secretariat of State and remained in Rome through the end of the pontificate of Pope John Paul II. Upon my return to Los Angeles in 2005, I was appointed Promoter of Justice for the Archdiocese and worked at the downtown offices. In 2008, I was named Administrator pro tempore of St. Mel Parish in Woodland Hills, after which assignment I was granted leave to return to Rome, where I remained through the end of 2009. In 2010, I was assigned to St. John Fisher Parish in Rancho Palos Verdes as Associate Pastor and now, in 2011, I have been named Administrator of Incarnation Parish in Glendale. I am very excited about taking up my duties among you and am most eager to meet all of you. May the grace and peace of the Risen Savior be with you and your families always! Mrs.Olivia Carrillo: "Incarnation would not be the school it is without the dedication and active involvement of the parents. Our parents volunteer in classrooms, help with fundraising events, and work behind the scenes to support our school. I am grateful to the members of the PTO board for their commitment and dedication to serving our school". ocarrillo@incaschool.org
