We Welcome Our New Church Members
Easter Vigil 2007

On the Saturday evening before Easter, we welcome our new Catholics with the Easter sacraments.
The evening starts with the lighting of the new fire, followed by the singing of the Exsultet prayer.

Blessing of the holy water used for Baptism.

Saturday evening at the Solemn Easter Vigil, we had the great joy of celebrating the baptism of William Barritt , by witnessing his baptism into Christ's death and resurrection, we were reminded of our own baptism into Christ. As we renew our baptismal promises this Easter, let us thank God for our newly baptized members and ask for the grace to fully live our Christian lives.

William Barritt and James Martinez received the Sacrament of Confirmation. Everyone then prepared to partake of the banquet of the Eucharist. In joyful thanksgiving we offered Christ to the Father and received back from Him the precious Body and Blood of His Son in Holy Communion.
It is a great joy to realize the blessings God has bestowed on our community by these new Catholics (now called neophytes) and to have witnessed the faith, hope and love that was so evident in our community during our celebration of the Easter Vigil.
