Flag Retirement Ceremony
at Incarnation School

United States flags which become torn, soiled or out of date should be retired with
all the dignity and respect befitting our nation's flag.
United States Federal Law provides that "The flag, when it is in such condition that
it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified
way, preferably by burning."
(U.S.Federal Code Title 36, Chapter 10, Section 176(k))
On Tuesday evening, February 1sth at 7:30 PM, the Boy Scouts of Troop 101, with Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts,
and Brownies of Incarnation Parish held a brief retirement ceremony
in the Incarnation School yard.
Scouting groups over the years have been called upon to perform
this service.
Thank you Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Brownies, Cub Scouts, Tiger Scouts, parents and all participants.
