Welcome to our parish web site.
Note: The privacy practices set forth in this policy are for these parish sites:
Collection of Information
We collect very little personally identifiable information on this site, with the exception of the “Guestbook” and the “Register as a Parish Member” links in which people voluntarily post their names, postal addresses, e-mail addresses, comments, etc.. When using the “Guestbook” link, please be aware that the information will be visible to the public and to web search engines. The full names of minors are not posted on our web page knowingly, so minors should never post their last names, e-mail addresses, postal addresses, phone numbers or any other identifiable information. The guestbook is routinely screened for these items and for inappropriate content. Don’t use the guestbook to contact the parish about routine tasks; contact the staff directly at: this link . The “Register as a Parish Member” link goes directly to parish staff and is only used to send requested material to the correspondent.
Like all web sites, the Incarnation site uses cookie and tracking technology to gather information such as browser type and operating system, to track the number of visitors to the site, and to understanding how visitors use the site. While it is possible to link the data to an IP address, it is very difficult to connect this information to a particular individual. We do not seek to obtain or collect this information, nor will we attempt to do so unless required by law.
The parish currently maintains an official Facebook page which we encourage you to use. Facebook members may makes comments, submit prayer requests, post pictures of parish events and notify the group of events sponsored by parish organizations. It is archdiocesan policy to never identify children on parish web pages. For this reason we ask that only adults should “friend” or rather become a “fan” of the Incarnation Facebook page. Sometimes minors using Facebook inadvertently disclose their names, pictures and towns as well as the names, pictures and towns of other children who have “friended” them. We encourage parents to closely monitor their children’s use of Facebook and other Internet applications. We periodically screen and remove items written on our “wall” and also “unfriend” or block those under 18 years of age.
The Church of the Incarnation is an active Catholic parish community. For this reason, you may be photographed or recorded on the property. Your presence at the parish implies consent to permit Incarnation to photograph, record, film or videotape your likeness and to publish it on our web site and other publications. By your presence, you agree to release Incarnation Parish from any liability resulting from publication of your likeness. Requests to remove a particular picture bearing your likeness from our publications will be honored. It is Archdiocesan policy to never identify minors in publications, nor to identify adults without permission. For the protection of the privacy of those who might end up photographed in the background without permission, Archdiocesan policy discourages personal photography during large liturgies in the church involving minors, for example, confirmation or first communion ceremonies. The parish provides official photographers for such occasions.
Contact Information for Parish Ministries, Organizations and Advisory Committees.
As a service to our parish, we routinely post directories containing the contact information for Incarnation staff, teachers, choir leaders, members of advisory committees, and volunteer leaders of various parish organizations on our web site and other publications. If you are a volunteer leader of an organization or advisory committee and do not wish your contact information to be published, it will be removed upon request. Names of members may be listed in published public minutes of various committee meetings.
