Our mission is to make our Catholic faith come alive in the hearts, minds and actions of Incarnation children and their families. Forming a partnership with families, we seek to connect faith to the everyday lives of our children by way of classroom and Bible work, music, story telling, crafts, children’s liturgies and prayer services.
We offer elementary classes for grades K-5 on Sunday mornings. These classes help to teach the fundamentals of our Catholic faith at each grade level. Classes will meet in the 9:00 Mass and participate in Children’s Liturgy of the Word with their catechists. They will return to Mass at the Offertory and remain in Mass until the Final Blessing. After mass, the children attend religious education classes until 11:30 am.
The preparation process here at Incarnation for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion is a two-year program with the children receiving the Sacraments in the 2nd year.
The classes are held Sunday mornings from October through May. Part of our program includes the children attending the 9 am mass. During mass the children are dismissed to St. Michael’s Hall to celebrate the Liturgy of the Word. Following the Liturgy of the Word they return to the Church celebrate the Liturgy of the Eucharist with their families. After mass the children attend religious education classes from 10:00 am until 11:30 am.
Parents are actively involved in the preparation process with their children. Throughout the year there are six parent and child sessions to help prepare for the celebration of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist.
